Part of the philosphy of Chaiken & Chaiken, P.C. is the concept of "giving back".
Since our inception we have been involved in the support of various local and national charities and their causes. We have also been involved on the front lines of various endeavors in support of local causes and in the pursuit of what we refer to as social "justice".
Chaiken & Chaiken prides itself in serving the community during times of crisis.
Hurricane Katrina - In 2005 Hurricane Katrina devastated the city of New Orleans as well as other Gulf Coast areas. Thousands of people were displaced and separated from their homes. A large contingent of these people came to Dallas, literally with only the clothes on their backs and no where to live. The firm set up a charitable foundation to raise funds and then was able to lobby it generous multi family clients to provide housing for many of these families in apartment complexes located around the DFW metroplex area. In addition, the firm created hundreds of starter kits containing basic necessities such as soap, shampoo, tooth brushes, coupons and gift cards to help these families get on their feet.
